Over 750 glass negatives were recovered from the remains of the Hayashi / Matsubishi / Kitamura studio. An extensive collection which showcases the many diverse communities that existed in Cumberland, BC at the turn of the century, as well as how they lived. This collection is incredibly important to our understanding of British Columbia’s past and shifts the mainstream historical narrative shapes.
